Welcome to our pretty self catering holiday cottage in the lovely setting of rural Somerset, situated near Bridgwater just outside the pretty village of Spaxton. Our cottage is surrounded by fields and trees, and has beautiful views towards the Quantock Hills - which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
We now accept a maximum of two dogs per week. £20 per week for one dog and £30 per week for two. We have lots of lovely places close by for walks.
Our self catering holiday cottage is conveniently situated within 5 miles of both Junctions 22 and 23 of the M5 making it an ideal place to stay for families who want to explore the area - there is so much to do and see in Somerset! It is also convieniently a 15 minute drive to Hinkley Point Power Station
We are also perfectly situated for people working in the area, we regularly let out the cottage for business clients. The dining room and lounge are ideal for daytime meetings with plenty of tables and chairs plus the free internet connection.
The County town of Taunton is also within easy reach via a very pleasant drive over the Quantock Hills. We are also close to Exmoor National Park, the Blackdown Hills and the Somerset Levels, making our cottage a perfect base for driving, walking or cycling.
We have been running the self catering holiday cottage as a very busy Bed and Breakfast for the last two years, but have now decided to only offer the whole property out for weekly self catering holidays from September 2009 onwards.
We have furnished and equipped the accommodation to provide you with a high quality and comfortable stay.
Bedrooms - There are three large bedrooms which consist of two bedrooms with king size beds and one twin/family bedroom with two double beds (one king size, one standard size).
All three bedrooms are decorated and furnished to the highest quality, with en-suite facilities or private bathroom. The en-suites have electric showers and the bathroom is a lovely family bathroom with a big bath and a shower over. We provide lots of fresh bath and hand towels.
All bedrooms are fitted with 28" flat screen TV's and Freeview channels for digital TV and radio channels.
The beds are king size wooden 'sleigh' beds with high quality mattresses. All linen and bedding is supplied and the beds are made up ready for your arrival.
Each room has a desk, mirror and chair, hairdryer, bedside tables, lamps and magazines.
We have a travel cot available - at no extra charge.
Lounge - The sunny lounge is beautifully furnished with three comfy sofas, coffee table, a log fire, DVD and video players and full Sky TV (Movies & Sports) on the 32" LCD televison
Dining Room - The dining room has two tables and nine chairs, (plus a high chair), crockery and cutlery.
Kitchen - The fully equipped kitchen has an electric cooker, fridge, microwave, all utensils and a washing machine.
Garden - The garden is private and pretty for use all year round with table and chairs, apple tree and a rotary washing line.
There is FREE wireless broadband available within the cottage.
There is plenty of parking space available in the courtyard of the cottage.
